In this piece, I wanted to create an atmospheric sky/ landscape painting where imagination can roam free as we gaze at the shapes of the clouds and rediscover layers of colours underneath the top surface peeking through.

This is a 61 x 46 cm oil painting on canvas. It is framed in oak and comes with a wire on its back, ready for hanging. The frame is a great quality frame that weighs a little more than standard float frames but will last a lifetime.

This piece was inspired by open fields and expressive sky. The colours I used are mostly spring greens and colours inspired by nature in spring. The bright blue sky with realistic clouds was a pleasure to paint. I was more playful with textures and colours in th foreground. Please see the close up images provided above.

I wanted to create a peaceful, atmospheric sky landscape painting, by painting in layers of thin washes of paint. The softness of the clouds against the blue sky in contrast with the rough edges of the green trees in the horizon line.

This painting was painted in a modern impressionism meets abstract landscape style. Drawing inspiration from many different artists with different techniques, I allowed myself to explore the possibilities of the medium.

Using a limited palette, I wanted to create a simple nature painting that is modern and expressive. I made an attempt to capture movements of the grass and tree branches without refining every bit of details, but merely suggesting through various brushstrokes. This painting is a 150 x 50 cm acrylic painting on unstretched raw canvas. This abstract landscape piece was painted using soak stain technique pioneered by Helen Frankenthaler. I folded the canvas repeatedly while the paint was still drying to achieve the wrinkled look.

It’s unstretched and will be rolled and shipped in a sturdy mailing tube for shipping. This is ideal for large painting as it has less risk of damage during transit.

If you like the look of this painting as is, please let your framer know so they would not stretch it too tightly and loose all the wrinkled texture.
